A Stroke of Luck I Get to Keep for Four Years . . .

My driver’s license photo is always lousy – always.  Every four years, I sit down at the license bureau and I swear they wait until I look my goofiest before the photo is snapped.  Then I’m stuck with it for four years.

Today was that day again.  So I sit down, and can’t figure out whether to look at the lens or the little rubber ducky on top of the camera.  About the time I’m trying to sit up straight, the flash goes off.  I’m doomed.  The license bureau lady says “Not bad.”  Now I KNOW I’m doomed . . .

Imagine my shock when this is what I find on my license.  I can’t believe the lady didn’t delete it and try to do worse . . .

  1. Some days the stars just line up right and {poof} you get a good drivers lic photo. If you were in MA you could keep it longer because they allow you to renew on-line every other lic. with your old photo . . . imagine getting to flash a decent lic photo for that long!

  2. omg. did you ask them to redo it? that's bizarre that they would even want to keep that blurry of a photo. yes, it would have been fine if it was actually clear. wow.

  3. The picture isn't blurry -- just a cell phone shot of the corner of my license. It has so many holograms that it makes the whole thing look blurry. Still one of the better pics I have taken in a long time . . .
