A More Feminine Canine Presence . . .

Leslie Rogers brought her dog, Angel, to the Make It & Take It in our store this morning. To say that Angel is a much more feminine canine than my Zoe is a massive understatement. Zoe doesn't have a dainty bone in her body -- she was in our yard last week and a neighborhood two-year-old named Sam stopped by to visit. Zoe saw him, and from about 200 feet apart they started running toward each other. Zoe also has no brakes -- she knocked him flat. But I told Sam his day will come -- I have known his grandpa (Sam is his namesake) since I was a kid and he's about 6' 7" and 280.

Obviously, Angel missed it when I told her to smile and say cheese. Or maybe she was just waiting for her close-up . . .

Much better -- gotta love the butterfly hairclips that match Mama's nail polish.

And I have never seen a dog with sparkling claw polish . . .

Karen Update -- she is still in the hospital as of this morning but continues to improve. She will probably come home today. She has some plaque in her carotid arteries but the doctor says baby aspirin will be enough to deal with it. She's up and about a bit and has had a steady stream of visitors. Thanks for all of your cards, prayers, and encouragement.
