The Stamping Gala “Tease” Begins . . .

The locals will appreciate this – those of you out in the hinterlands will either drool in jealousy or make travel plans (let me know if you need hotel suggestions).  Our annual Stamping Gala begins in our store on Monday, August 9 – and we’ll have special guests, demos, make it/take its, classes, and three trunk shows going on all week long leading up to the Cincinnati convention on August 13-14.

So for the next few days, look for a tease of what you can expect.  Today, we’ll look at our USArtQuest Gala on Monday, August 9 – a day full of FREE make it/take it projects from our local instructors . . .

9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Background with Acrylics with Pat Adams
Join Pat for a fun-filled morning making colorful acrylic paint backgrounds. You can leave them “as is” to stamp on or add lots of bling! Please bring a basic stamping kit.

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Coastin' with Maureen & Barry Payne
Maureen and Barry will be using PPA gloss or matte, Great Tape, glitter and some special techniques. You’ll learn how to create a unique and beautiful card. You’ll use “coasters” and focus on making a beautiful collage with recycled Christmas cards. The coaster collage will awe family and friends. PPA gloss or matte adhesive will protect your artwork. If you have any Christmas Cards to recycle, bring them along. Please bring a basic stamping kit.

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
ATC Napkin Collage with Connie Vogt
Make this fun summertime card made using the USArtQuest napkin collage technique. Add shimmery accents with the watercolor palettes for the finishing touch. Please bring a basic stamping kit.

3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
"Pear"-fect Card with Donna Sheetz
Come join Donna in integrating basic rubber stamping with painting and shading on SuedePaper. This regal card is “pear”-fect for framing or gift giving. We will be using USArtQuest Watercolor Palettes and Sandi Miller’s pear stamp. Please bring a basic stamping kit.

5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Faux Lace with Judy Davidson
Do you enjoy the look of lace but want more bling? Join Judy in using the faux lacing technique. You will use Great Tape, Gildenglitz, Mica D’Lights, and Styl’ines stickers.  Please bring a basic stamping kit.

That’s enough for one day – don’t want to overwhelm you all at one time.  Plan to spend the day – actually, plan to spend the week.

  1. You know, you really are a terrible tease! As if all the store specials, sidewalk sales etc aren't enough now you tease those of us not fortunate enough to live within driving distance of Marco's with an all day make-n-take. Not to mention you have to throw in all those yummy looking pictures! And I just know that in a day or two I'll get even more in my inbox! YOU ARE A CRUEL MAN!
