Spring Make It & Take It

This was the Make It & Take it project in our store last Wednesday. You can tell from the stamps that it had an Easter theme, but it could be easily adapted to make a nice Spring card.

This is where you're headed . . .

And this is most of what you'll need to get there. The daffodil stamp is from Stampendous, the "spring" stamp is from Rubber Tree, and the bunny stamp is from DRS. I noticed later that there must have been another stamp with rabbit paws, but I didn't see it (those images were stamped in advance). You'll also need a small oval punch and some scraps of pastel colored cardstock (if you're doing Easter eggs), a favorite corner punch, a black ink pad and embossing powder, Tombow Mono Adhesive or your favorite glue, Pop-Dots or mounting tape, scissors, a Scor-It or a bone folder, colored markers, two sheets of 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" cardstock (one lavender and one yellow), a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2" square, and another scrap piece of white cardstock.

For the Make It & Take It in our store, the bunny image, daffodils, paws, and phrase were stamped and embossed in advance with black ink. And the 3 1/2" square white cardstock was punched with the corner punch. So start with that and then we'll pick it up with the pictures below.

Color the bunny and daffodils with your colored markers.

Cut around the edges of the paws and the large daffodil (flower only).

Measure 2 1/8" in from both edges of the lavender and yellow cardstock, and score with a Scor-It or a bone folder.

Put the two pieces together as shown with adhesive.

Fold the pieces together like you would the top of a box if you didn't have tape. Then use adhesive or pop-dots to add the paws, daffodil, eggs, and phrase.

Open back up, and use the adhesive to put the bunny on the inside panel.

Fold 'em back together and you'll all done. Thanks to Sandy Livingston (Sandymice) for this project.
